Hi, I’m Courtney!
I made this blog so that I could combine my passions for projects and writing. I’m drawn to situations in which I can “create” and start things from scratch, and as a Business Management major from Texas A&M University, I hope to become an entrepreneur one day. I haven’t thought of my million dollar idea yet, but in the meantime, I’m excited to chronicle my projects here.
The list of uncompleted “businesses” from my childhood include:
- Greeting card company using ClipArt
- “Ultraviolet” pop band (I know, cliche)
- Movie production company
- Soap making business
- B.A.N.A.N.A. Gazette (We had seven subscribers in 6th grade!)
- “Dainty Darlings” Princess Parties
…and more. As I’ve gotten older, I have been fortunate enough to participate in larger-scale projects that I actually complete, such as charity fundraising events, which will be the subjects of this blog.
In addition to detailing the ins-and-outs of my various projects and event planning endeavors, I want to utilize this blog as an outlet for my thoughts on “lifestyle” topics such as food and entertainment.
As for the blog title? My whole life, I’ve been focusing on the future and attempting to rush every step of the way there. For example, as soon as I turned 16, I was already “almost 17.” Over the past few years, I’ve had to learn how to plan for the future while living in the present. I can’t let my life slip by as I prepare for the next milestone, but after all, I’m basically there.
Thanks for visiting!
